The festival is dedicated to General Le Van Duyet (1763-1832), the defender of Gia Dinh Citadel (including Nam Bo (South Vietnam) and present-day Binh Dinh Province). Pilgrims, especially those of Chinese origin will pour into Lang Ong to pay tribute to him

Time: 29th day of 7th lunar month
Place: Ho Chi Minh

The festival is dedicated to General Le Van Duyet (1763-1832), the defender of Gia Dinh Citadel (including Nam Bo (South Vietnam) and present-day Binh Dinh Province). Pilgrims, especially those of Chinese origin will pour into Lang Ong to pay tribute to him, showing gratitude towards the good genius who had adopted incentive policies in support of Chinese residents to settle and do business in Vietnam
